London’s Latest Foodie Openings: April 2017

London is constantly popping out taste bud-tingling food spots from casual diners to formal eateries. We’ve picked three of London’s latest openings for you to visit, from protein-packed Hawaiian bowls to street food with an eye-opening view.

1) Giant Robot

Lover of street food and booze? Giant Robot is the latest hip opening at Canary Wharf, described as an all-day rooftopia for eating and drinking. The futuristic street food market adopts a ‘spaceship-like’ design and boasts a handful of popular street food traders from Little Jose and Yum Bun, to Thunderbird and Yumplings. Guests can also grab a drink or two from a choice of three bars, all while taking in the breath-taking panoramic views of the city.

Giant Robot is open seven days a week from 11am till late and is located at Crossrail Place.

 2) Honi Poké

Honi Poké delivers light and healthy protein-filled bowls of the growing food craze, Poké. The Hawaiian restaurant, located in Soho, London, offers guests a choice of four signature bowls with the option to customize their own with fresh quality tuna, salmon, octopus or organic tofu. Honi Poké’s interior design boasts a combination of white gloss hexagon tiles and plenty of wooden panelling, reminiscent of a surfboard shack shop.

Honi Poké is open Monday to Saturday from as early as 11:30am to 7:30pm.

 3) Bubblewrap

The Instagram-famous dessert eatery – Bubblewrap – has officially landed a permanent home in Chinatown following previous ventures at street food markets.

Bubblewrap serves up giant waffles wrapped into a cone and filled mountain-high with a mixture of sugary toppings. Guests can choose from plain, matcha or cocoa waffles and an expansive list of accompaniments from sauces to gelato. The cost of one waffle depends on the choice of toppings although it is usually £6 – £7. Cold and hot drinks are also available including milk tea (a Hong Kong favourite), iced tea and Belvoir fruit drinks.
