London’s Hottest Summer Food Spots

From a fried chicken joint changing the fast food game to an ice cream parlour serving up nitrogen-infused deliciousness, here are 3 of London’s newest food spots to visit this summer:

Located on Baker Street, CHIK’N is a new fast food restaurant founded by the same owners behind Chick ‘n’ Sours. The establishment serve up quality-fried chicken using free-range birds and recycle almost all waste including the oil. As if this wasn’t enough to make a difference, CHIK’N are also open all day, seven days a week including at breakfast time! (Yes, you can satisfy your chicken cravings from as early as 6am).

CHIK’N’s main offering is their wicked range of chicken sandwiches with sides including Disco Wings, nacho fries or cooling wedge salads. Alternatively, diners after something lighter can opt for an egg/sausage muffin, hot cakes (waffles), hash browns and cheesy beans.

Chin Chin Club is a nitrogen ice cream and cake emporium bang in the centre of Soho. Guests can treat themselves to a range of different ice creams served in sundae cups, choux buns or even as a soda float. Small fondant cakes and cookies with molten centres are also available, in case you’re after something not too chilled!

So, what’s it like inside? Chin Chin Club’s interior is decked out with white marble, shimmering gold walls and the main centre counter where all the magic aka ice cream is made. Expect plenty of theatrical ice-cream making performances with a tasty result.

Bite Me Burger Co. is a new mini-burger pop-up restaurant located in Holburn. The restaurant serves up a mouth-watering range of sliders made using quality ingredients, all served up in different sized boxes. Sliders include a tribute to McDonald’s Big Mac, a fancy bacon cheeseburger (think Brie instead of American cheese) and a flavoursome lamb version featuring Stilton cheese, smoked yoghurt and jalapeno.

The mini burgers are available as duos (£9), trios (£12.50), quad (£15) or a dozen (£49).

Bite Me Burger Co. are currently sharing a space with Cha Chaan Teng – a Hong Kong style café – but have plans to move to a permanent location in Autumn.
