Aroma
Aroma Kitchen & Bar Ferndown is the biggest venture for the Aroma family so far. Modernisation was at the heart of their new site, coupled with creating a business model that works from breakfast to cocktails in the evening and carefully balancing the interior design to reflect this all day dining.
Ozcan has been a valued customer of ours for many years, and we have supplied, built, and installed numerous furniture pieces and counters for his Aroma ventures. The latest site in Ferndown required a fresh approach tailored to the size and location of the building. Previously a Wetherspoons pub, the space was large and had a challenging layout.
Ozcan and his business partner, Murad, wanted to preserve and maximise the existing features while updating the interior with a modern twist. For their business model, we proposed an elevated all-day dining kitchen, incorporating the rebrand developed to align with the more sophisticated direction of Aroma. Featuring a relaxed daytime area for light bites and coffee, a bright dining section for daytime meals, U-shaped bench seating booths for a cosier experience, and a moody raised dining area for a more premium offering. These spaces are centred around a feature bar with a foliage tree structure, which became a focal point and signature feature of the venue.
The challenge for our designers was to create a space that worked from breakfast to premium dinner with cocktails. The lighting and colour palettes for each section played a vital role in the space’s success.
An interior design fit for any time of day, featuring a light and pastel front section of the space for daytime casual dining and an elegant and moody design for the cocktail and sit down evening trade.
We loved working on this project, it challenged us to create a design fit for all times of the day and all occasions, creating a truly eye-catching interior design.
We meticulously designed, built, and installed all the bespoke furniture pieces for this space. A striking gold powder-coated tree structure with hanging foliage and fairy lights draws attention to the central bar, serving as the focal point of the room. The curved bar is complemented by a gold cut-out detail between the solid surface countertop and brush stroke base design, with an LED strip that accentuates its unique feature. To maximise storage and provide space for evening drinks, bespoke hanging bar shelving units run alongside the counter. The back counter houses an open kitchen and mezze counter, allowing customers to watch their food being freshly prepared. Large LED arches in the dining area elevate the atmosphere, creating a sophisticated setting for evening dining while Glass dividing structures guide customers through the space, enhancing the flow. We successfully created private areas for customers to unwind and connect in this premium space.
The thoughtful design has exceeded Ozcan and Murad’s expectations, resulting in a vibrant and successful space that has become a key part of their business growth and the new place to be in Ferndown which is having a huge impact in bringing more business to the once tired highstreet.
