In March 2024, Robert approached us with an ambitious vision: to create a family-run Brazilian eatery in the heart of Harlesden, West London. While his sister-in-law, Liah, brought her passion for authentic Brazilian cuisine and a natural flair for hospitality, she had previously struggled with the business management side of her former café. Robert and Liah envisioned a partnership where each could focus on their strengths—Liah leading the culinary and guest experience, while Robert managed the business operations.

With no prior experience in the hospitality industry, Robert entrusted us to transform their dream into a thriving, foolproof concept. Their vision was clear: a welcoming, homely space that reflected the warmth of Brazilian culture while appealing to Harlesden’s diverse community.

Our approach was rooted in creating a design that blended rustic charm with modern, approachable branding. We crafted an interior that stayed true to Brazil’s vibrant spirit—warm tones, natural textures, and a layout that fostered connection—ensuring it felt both authentic and inviting to everyone. By balancing tradition with a contemporary edge, we helped Robert and Liah bring their dream to life, offering Harlesden a true taste of Brazil in a space where cultures come together over great food.

The interior design blends rustic and modern elements, featuring natural wood tones, woven pendant lights, colourful accents, and Brazilian-inspired wall art, creating a warm, inviting, and culturally vibrant atmosphere.

‘Eren and his team gave me loads of very good advice as I took my first steps into the world of catering. They gave me the confidence to continue my journey even when I had doubts and concerns, I now have a thriving business and I’m very pleased they assisted the way they did. Lauren listened to my brief and designed my outlet accordingly, I’ve had so many compliments and fantastic reviews, I’m very pleased with the outcome. Catersales gets a strong recommend, especially if like me this is new territory.’ – Robert

Thoughtful design and layout planning were key to transforming Tia Liah’s into an authentic Brazilian eatery that balances tradition with modern hospitality. A central open-counter design and kitchen hatch allows guests to see the preparation of freshly made dishes, fostering a sense of connection between the kitchen and the dining space. The warm, rustic wood finishes and vibrant Brazilian artwork evoke a homely atmosphere, while natural textures and soft lighting create a welcoming, contemporary vibe.

To maintain authenticity, we incorporated natural elements and subtle nods to Brazilian culture throughout the space, ensuring it felt both familiar and inviting to Harlesden’s diverse community. The result is more than just a dining spot—it’s a vibrant, cultural hub where people come together over shared experiences and great food. Since opening, Tia Liah’s has become a local favourite.
